Less than two months after getting a new liver, Gregg Allman is ready to work again.
The Allman Brothers Band will play three shows at the Orpheum Theater in Boston from Nov. 18 to 20, its first concerts since Mr. Allman had liver transplant surgery in June. The surgery caused forced the group to cancel an appearance at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival. Mr. Allman, 62, has had chronic health problems related to Hepatitis C.
“I’m ready,” Mr. Allman said in a statement. “I’ve been itching to play since I got the operation and am glad to be back.”.
