The younger brother of Nat King Cole and uncle of Natalie Cole, singer/pianist Freddy Cole managed to emerge from the huge shadow cast by his elder brother to become an internationally acclaimed performer whose recording career has now spanned over fifty years. Expect suave, elegant vocals from a man who has a style and musical sophistication all his own.

Roy Haynes
Celebrating his 85th birthday this year, Roy Haynes is rightly held in great regard as one of the most innovative drummers around. A regular player with Charlie Parker and Lester Young in the 1940s and ‘50s, he has also backed some of the most influential players in history: Thelonious Monk, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Pat Metheny, John Coltrane, Sarah Vaughan and Stan Getz.

Sound Stylistics
Sound Stylistics serve up unconventional slices of hip grooves. A jam band of the highest order, expect a night of deep funk grooves provided by alumni from JTQ, Brand New Heavies and Incognito.

Lucinda Belle Orchestra
Beguiling harpist and singer Lucinda Belle hit the headlines recently when she gave up her job at a South London launderette to sign a £1 million record deal. Here she will showcase songs from her hotly tipped album My Voice and 45 Strings which is released on May 10th.
