With the acclaimed new release of LANDMARC, tenor saxophonist Marc Mommaas will be performing at the Cornelia Street Cafe with his long time collaborator Tony Moreno on drums including Nate Radley and Vic Juris on Guitars.

Landmarc does not include bass and the charts specifically written for this setting have no written-in bass function. This group is from the highest caliber and has been highly anticipated on. Stop by to hear for yourself.

Landmarc is a Breakout recording for Mommaas and Radley -Thomas Conrad, All About Jazz NYC Paper (2010)

Mommaas’ serpentine sax inventions – aided by the bluesy, spacey and swinging plectral prowess of Juris, Abbasi and Radley, and buoyed by Moreno’s lickety-split drumming – intricately delivers a devilishly delightful nine-track CD that does indeed translate a virtual Rosetta Stone of rhythms, harmonies and melodies into real life stories…..The cinematic syncopations on Landmarc are the product of Marc Mommaas’ grand and inclusive musical vision…..Now Marc Mommaas finds himself at the zenith of his musical powers with Landmarc, a recording that best exemplifies the kind of “tradition in transition” artistry that modern jazz is all about. - Eugene Holley, Sunnyside (2010)

This is why Landmarc succeeds: Mommaas makes the difficult seem easy. – Steve Greenlee, Jazztime (2010)

"One of the best kept secrets in jazz...."- Chris Hoven, All About Jazz

"Pianist/composer Kerry Politzer is deeply influenced by the music of Bill Evans and Brazil. Her fifth CD, "Blue in Blue," was just released by Piloo Records. The album is a tribute to late jazz guru Charlie Banacos, who endowed Politzer with an appreciation for unorthodox harmonies. Although "Blue in Blue" features saxophonist Donny McCaslin, tonight finds her in trio format accompanied by her husband, George Colligan, better known as a drummer.

Press quote: BBC: "Politzer never seems stuck for ideas ; each solo is carefully constructed, a fine balance of head and heart...
