Vocalist Meryl Zimmerman approaches the songs she sings with a sense of sophistication, creativity, and joy. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Meryl began singing jazz in her high school vocal jazz ensemble. It was here she began experimenting with scat singing, a talent she has continued to hone ever since then, drawing frequent comparisons to Ella Fitzgerald. Meryl has performed at bars, lounges, weddings, corporate events, and many other venues throughout the tri-state area, New Orleans, and St. Louis. She has a Masters degree in Jazz Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Peter Eldridge, Theo Bleckmann, and Kate McGarry.

In no particular order: Regina Spektor, Ella Fitzgerald, the Beatles, Billy Holiday, The Decemberists, Robert Johnson, Talking Heads, Thelonious Monk, Lambert Hendricks and Ross, Jane Monheit, Peter Eldridge, Laura Nyro, Fiona Apple, Kate McGarry, Magnetic Fields, Janis Joplin, Theo Bleckmann, Joss Stone, Amy Winehouse, Anita O'Day, Louis Armstrong, Charles Mingus, the cities of New York and New Orleans.
