Founders
Beatriz Malnic, born in Brazil, graduated in music at São Paulo University, where she studied singing, composition, choir conducting and piano. She worked with the composer, guitar player and partner of Vinicius de Moraes (Girl from Ipanema) Toquinho, in tournees in South America, Italy, Germany and Spain. She has also worked with artists like Chico Buarque, Geraldo Vandre and Roberto Menescal.

Living now in the United States, Florida, for 12 years, she performs in jazzclubs, local events and international festivals, singing Brazilian jazz, sambas and American standards. In October 2002 she performed in the Broward Center for the Performing Arts with João Bosco and Toquinho. She joined him again at the celebration for 200 years of Banco do Brasil.

Her first CD of bossa-nova and samba songs was produced by Roberto Menescal for Warner Music of Brazil, programmed by Nelson Motta. Her recent CD, "Estrada do Sol" was released in August 2006. This CD was nominated for best brazilian CD released and produced in the US at the International Press Award, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. In May of 2008 she was invited to teach a vocal workshop at the University of Florida, in Gainsville with another guest and guitar player Ulisses Rocha. Their concert is in the YouTube link below.

With Loren Oliveira, Beatriz created a Brazilian female vocal ensemble, the Brazilian Voices, that performs in local events and was awarded in 2003, 2004 & 2005 the Brazilian International Press Award for outstanding group in the US. Their CD "Brazilian Voices" was released in May 2005. Their performance at the Broward Center brought tears to the eyes of the honorary composer in attendance, Mr. Ivan Lins.

Loren Oliveira singing and acting since a very young age, she has made her love for the arts a journey of life. Loren's career began in Brazil with lead roles in important plays such as the opera-rock "Amapola", "Evita", "Hair" and "The Imaginary Invalid" with Grupo Ornitorrinco among many others.

In 1993 Loren starred and produced her own show - "The Eight Capital Sins", a multimedia production, directed by Wellington Nogueira, combining live band, circus acrobats, and actors to a fusion of Pop music and Brazilian rhythms. From there, many other projects were part of her eclectic creative and ever-changing career in partnerships with other artists such as Suba, Edson Natale among others.

In 1994 Loren moved to the United States where she continued to pursue music and the arts contributing with many local artists until creating her own group with co-founder Beatirz Malnic. The two met in Weston, and worked together for the first time performing with the music group "Acoustic Brazil". In 2001, their enthusiasm with a vocal training workshop became the driving force in the birth of Brazilian Voices.

Cultural Program
Our dynamic repertoire, unique mix of voices and original arrangements are continually performed in unprecedented and exclusive concerts, with distinguished themes, geared to local audiences in sold out events such as “Brazilian Voices and Friends,” “Unplugged,” “Women That Rock,” “Brazilian Voices Samba” – always integrating internationally and locally recognized musicians with the Brazilian tunes, resulting in a brilliant multicultural musical ensemble.

Educacional Program
In an unprecedented educational design, reaching all ages in venues such as museums, public libraries, schools and other educational settings, the group breathes life into culture with this theatrical and musical journey through a modern, contemporary Brazil. Language, arts, geography, history, and musical rhythms come alive with renowned Brazilian musicians, multimedia presentation, Capoeira performers, and actors, who tell of Brazilian treasures in an interactive and stimulating learning experience, touching on points such as ecology, rainforest conservation, and innovative technologies, such as the country’s ethanol program.

Arts & Healing Program
As a response to empirical research that verifies the positive physical and emotional responses patients have to the music, and its natural healing powers, the group implemented Brazilian Voices - Arts and Healing, a community-based project.

Brazilian Voices Kids
As our treasured legacy, Brazilian Voices Kids have blossomed into a very talented group, ranging from ages 5 to 15, comprised of Brazilian Voices singer’s children, as well as others from the community, who gather in parallel to the Brazilian Voices rehearsals to learn about Brazilian music, take lessons in singing Brazilian songs, practice the language, and prepare for special performances.
