"Moonglow" is a 1934 popular song with music by Will Hudson and Irving Mills and words by Eddie DeLange. It was first recorded by Joe Venuti and his Orchestra in 1933, with later recordings by Ethel Waters and Benny Goodman and his Orchestra in 1934, and has been recorded many times since. In the 1950s a medley of this song and "Theme from Picnic" became quite popular, especially in instrumental recordings by Morris Stoloff, as well as by George Cates and his Orchestra.
It must have been Moonglow/
Way up in the blue/
It must have been Moonglow/
That /led me straight to you/
I still hear you sayin/
Dear one hold me fast/
And I start to prayin/
Oh Lord/ please let this last/
We/ seem to float right through the air/
Heavenly songs/ seem to come from/ everywhere/
And now when there's Moonglow/
Way up in the blue/
I always remember/
That Moonglow gave me you/
That Moonglow gave me you/
We/ seem to float right through the air/
Heavenly songs/ seemed to come from/ everywhere/
And now when there's Moonglow/
Way up in the blue/
I always remember/
That Moonglow gave me you/
That Moonglow gave me you/
That Moonglow gave/ me/ you.
