Zimbo Trio

The Zimbo Trio was born at the height of the renewal movement of the music Brazil. Today AMILTON Godoy (piano) and RUBINHO BARSOTTI (drums) have as bassist Itamar Collaço and continue with the same goals to work within the instrumental music of international standard. The instrumental music has a Zimbo Trio in support of his identity. Music From conception, through the great repertory, the refined technique of execution, these three exceptional musicians prove that unit can be achieved by the integration of differences, resulting in harmony and very very stable.

This work has influenced so many musicians and groups are registered in forty-eight discs recorded and released in Brazil and in twenty-two, of forty-one countries, where the trio has served since March 1964. Among thousands of presentations, it is worth mentioning the work of the ZIMBO with symphony orchestras of Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia and Phillarmonie presentations in Berlin, Town Hall and others.

Released their 49th studio album - Zimbo Trio live, recorded for Eldorado, which was recorded live last year in Sao Paulo, the project Grand Gatherings 2006. The Zimbo Trio is one of the most winning these four decades, in your gallery: Trophy Press, Roquette Pinto, Pinheiro de Ouro, Chico Viola, Indian Silver, Candido Mendes, VII of Sharp Music Award, among others. Talented and creative, without personalizing with the fashions and various musical currents that have been imposed in these thirty-eight years? many waters that passed under the bridge? comprises one of the most renowned works group, the link between its components is the total surrender to the music.
Since 1973 the trio heads the Clam, Learning Center Free Musical in Sao Paulo, facing broad musical education.
