Singing samba, samba doing, the girls Samba de Rainha turned his passion for the genre (cause of) life. With a contagious energy, Samba de Rainha has released two CDs and is one of the most popular of Sao Paulo, playing regularly in homes to unite and Bar Brahma, and is present in projects like Boteco Bohemia (Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Brasilia and Uberaba), Space Telecom Brazil (Brasilia) and Virada Cultural (SP). Outside the release of their albums on stage as SESC Pompeii, Auditorio Ibirapuera (SP), Teatro Rival (RJ) ... Formed by four percussionists (Aide, Erica, Gadi and Sandra), a guitarist (Nana), a cavaquinista (Thais) and a vocalist (Nubia), Samba de Rainha puts an accent on pop samba. A proof is that he has shared the stage with Tia Surica Portela, Leci Brandão, Mart'nália, Preta Gil, Isabella Taviani, Marcelo D2, with the same enthusiasm.
In the shows, and call public attention to his own compositions and unique versions of songs by big names in music, to honor their origins and influences, paying homage to the queens of samba: Clara Nunes, Alcione, Beth Carvalho, Leci Brandão, Owner Ivone Lara and Clementina, keeping alive the memory and reinventing samba.
Some moments are already marked in the history of Samba de Rainha, as Virada Cultural São Paulo, in 2007, when the concert at 5 am, 3 thousand people gathered in the city center. Or when performed at Silver House Project, the SESC Pompeii, sold out: the recognition of the public was clear, and the press too. Pedro Alexandre Sanches, journalist responsible for the curation of Silver, commented in his blog: "Tuesday, January 15, 2008. I ran with surprising sesc doors closed, a crowd "stuck" on the outside, signs of a mini-mania with fans banging on the door closed, hoping to find sesame for the show lost. the show was the queen of samba, girls from Sao Paulo who dive headlong into the samba ... it took me too to see them live, but in fact the quality of the show proved directly proportional to the quantity and diversity of people it attracted. This presentation also led the group to be selected for the Exhibition of Silver House in early 2009, as the show attendance record last year.
Also in 2008, after this memorable show, traveled to Europe in his first international tour. 8 shows were during Carnival in Portugal, especially in the Casino Estoril and Cascais Theatro Circo de Braga, receiving positive reviews and performing in the highest rating TV Portuguese. From there went to London, and set up the audience with her samba version of 'Satisfaction' and drew the attention of the English press, especially in The Guardian. In turn, the Queen of Samba started the season launch of the album, "Living Samba", with concerts in crowded SESC Pompeii and the Ibirapuera Auditorium and is participating in the main Brazilian TV programs and won the prize for best Catavento samba group granted by the program Solano Ribeiro on Radio Cultura de São Paulo.
Discs Samba de Rainha are distributed to the main shops in the country and Europe Tratore, in addition to marketing in online stores such as Nokia Music Store. In 2009, concurrent with the calendar of shows, the group is starting work on their third album.
