Alta Estremadura Jazz Festival

Alta Estremadura Jazz Festival (FJAE), an event that usually occurs in the cities of Leiria and Marinha Grande. The FJAE begins with a workshop led by the trio of bassist Zé Eduardo and closes on Sunday 25 with a concert of the quartet led by saxophonist Dave Liebman and Ellery Eskelin. Between those dates the Quintet Nelson Cascais, Ze Eduardo Unit, the Mingus Big Band, the trio BassDrumBone and the closing concert of the workshop should be sufficient reason to justify a visit to the event. The FJAE, taking place since the 90s, is an initiative of the Development Cooperation and Atlantis, the cities of Leiria and Marinha Grande and has a current production team since 2001.
