Idriss Boudrioua....

Idriss Boudrioua born in Massy Palaiseau (France) and began studying saxophone at 11 years of age, Arpajon Conservatory, where she had classical training. With five years of age, had marked his first contact with Brazilian music through the film by Marcel Camus, Black Orpheus. This meeting was crucial to that at the end of 1981, he arrived in Brazil, where they now reside. In 1981, still in France, took the disc by pianist Jean Pierre Mas, alongside Brazilian Cesario Alvim (bass) and Claudio Roditi (trumpet) and played in jam sessions with Chet Baker, Bob Mover and Tania Maria, at the invitation of Claudio Roditi.
In 1982, in Brazil, worked under the baton of Maestro Cipo, integrating the band's nightclub Da Vinci Bar, along with Claudio Roditi, who once again invited, and Romero Lubambo (guitar). Then touched Viro Ipiranga, integrating quartet with Lubambo, Nilson Matta (bass) and Vanderley Pereira (drums). In 1983, he joined the orchestra of Ed Lincoln and accompanied the singer Joanna concert tour in the Northeast of Brazil.

The following year, joined the orchestra Celia Vaz and the Festival de Jazz de Brasilia, with the Garage group, composed by Claudio Infante (drums), Arthur Maia (bass) and Paulinho Soledade (guitar). Served with Marcos Valle and João Donato and was part of a trio with pianist Joao Carlos Assis Brazil and David Chew (cello). In 1986, he recorded his first LP, "Hope", which recorded four of his songs: "Badette", "West Coast", "For Wes" and the title track. Already in 1987, the LP, "Jamal" with three original compositions: "Pourquoi pas?", "Je me souviens Wes" and "Pro Ion", the latter two musicians dedicated respectively to Wes Montgomery and Ion Muniz.
Served in the following year, in concert tour with Johnny Alf and Fatima Guedes. Also participated in 1988, recording the album "30 Years of Bossa Nova", alongside Nico Assumpção, Paulo Russo, Marine Bofa, Paul Belinatti and Paulo Braga. In 1990, he formed a duo with Luiz Eça and joined the band of singer Rosa Passos, who followed in subsequent years in shows in Brazil and abroad. During the year 1991, led the jam sessions of Gula Bar (RJ), along with guitarist Alex Carvalho.

In 1992, played in Paris with trumpeter Jean Loup Longnon and saxophonists Steve Grossman and Jim Snidero Box Le Billboquet. In early 1993, played with Toninho Horta, the international mix, joined the band of Leny Andrade and formed with guitarist Alex Carvalho, Duo Jazz. He recorded tracks from the songbooks of Ary Barroso, João Donato, Tom Jobim and Djavan, produced by Almir Chediak, and volume 2 of "The history of bossa nova", launched by Editora Caras. In 1996, he returned to perform at the Free Jazz Festival, this time accompanied Johnny Alf. Later that year, released his third album, "Central Park West", in duet with guitarist Alex Carvalho. Their repertoire includes two compositions of his own: "Mine" and "Chameleon."
In 1997, she performed again in Paris, where he played with the sextet of Jean Loup Longnon in several areas. At the same time, worked with Marcos Valle, the Jazz Café in London. Already in 1998, was in Tokyo with Rosa Passos, presenting themselves for a month in space Sabbath.

In 1999, he participated in Jazz Festival Bern (Switzerland), along with Claudio Roditi, Paquito de Rivera and Raul de Souza. In 2000, he released the CD "Joy Spring", which included two compositions of his own: "Mon ami Xande" and "Playing for Canuto," the latter also dedicated to saxophonist Zé Canuto. In 2001, he attended the Festival Internacional de Jazz de Montreal (Canada), at the invitation of Canadian saxophonist Jean Pierre Zanella. The following year, launched with the Saxophone Quartet, the CD titled, in which it operates alongside Renato Buscacio also saxophonists (alto and soprano), Sueli Faria (baritone sax), Fernando Changed (tenor sax). The disc included the special participation of Ion Muniz saxophonist and percussionist Don Chacal. In the repertoire are three compositions Idriss: "Wanderings", "Adrift" and "Etienne et Margot.
In 2004, he joined the quartet of Michel Legrand, with whom she performed in 12 presentations at the Mistura Fina (RJ) and recorded the CD "Legrand-Eça. In 2005, he joined the Septet Euphonica Modern, Ed Mota, alongside musicians Rafael Vernet (piano), Alberto Continentino (bass), Paulinho Guitarra (guitar), Jesse Sadoc (trumpet), Renato Massa Calmon (drums).

In his latest CD, "Paris-Rio", launched in late 2004, pays homage to the meetings and friends who scored her musical career and, accompanied by great musicians from Brazil and internationally, plays exclusively his own compositions: "Frère de coeur, "" Pour Hermeto, "" Pour Guilherme "," Solitude, "" Chanson pour Jasmine "," My Bahia "," Queen of Hearts "," Sheila "," Roditiando "," Right on time, "" Badette "," A Better World "and the title track.
