Bridgestone Music will have homage to the classic album “Kind of Blue”



The second edition of the festival Bridgestone Music already has a confirmed attraction. The event will receive turnê “Kind of Blue @ 50”, commemorative concert per the 50 years of launching of the album “Kind of Blue”, of the trompetista of Jazz Miles Davis.
The show is headed by the baterista Jimmy Cobb and Alone the What Band, formed for the trompetista Wallace Roney, Vincent Herring (sax high), Javon Jackson (sax tenor), Larry Willis (piano) and Buster Williams (low). Cobb was the baterista that at the time folloied Miles Davis of the writing of “Kind of Blue” and is the only one of the musicians who had participated of the still alive writing.
Beyond touching with Davis, Cobb has in its resume writings and turnês with Billie Holiday, Gil Evans, Dizzy Gillespie and Sarah Vaughan, with who was in Brazil in years 70. Turnê “Kind of Blue @ 50” must pass for diverse festivals of Jazz in the whole world.
The second edition of the Bridgestone Music will be carried through between days 14 and 16 of May in São Paulo. Details must be divulged soon.
