Bassist Habib Faye continues to pursue its struggle for the emergence c'une new African music. To do this he managed to blaze a path of its own in the more or less collapsed on itself. He did not choose the easy wanting to make its mark. Whoever wants to leave the "Jazz" by its simplistic framework and a lightly loaded does not claim under a new vision of the music he loves and developed it prefers the term Jazz. This development has not made ex nihilo. In his long companionship with Youssou Ndour (he composed the bulk of the music of the latter during the last twenty years) the creation of Sen. Events Jazz Festival in Paris through the placing on orbit by Habib Faye leading to the live album dedicated to Jaco Pastorius and especially the concept of sustainability Lives Habib Faye.
